Unrepresented Buyer and For Sale By Owner -The Ongoing Nightmare that’s too Close to Home!

Resized mask

This real estate horror story popped up recently and is continuing to occur in Norfork, Virginia. The story is extremely detailed with actual legal documents and photos.Â

The reason it hits home for me is that I am a Realtor and I frequently deal with older houses and buyers and sellers of these houses. Â

Over the years, I have heard transaction horror stories from other agents, lenders, real estate and title attorneys.  During my 21 years as an agent, I have some doosies of my own that I could tell. The difference is that all of their stories and my stories had agreeable endings.

This story has taken on a never ending life of it’s own! Read it here. Â

Silver Spring MD Neighborhood 4th of July Celebrations & Decorations

DSC00782 My neighbor Joseph Permetti decorates his home’s exterior for all seasons and the 4th of July is no exception. For the last 5–6 years, I always know what holiday is coming because Joseph decorates the exterior of this East Silver Spring home on Queen Annes Drive.  Each year the decorations are different and a little more elaborate.  On Halloween this past year, there were crowds of people looking and taking pictures.  He says that this coming halloween he has even Bigger plans than last year, so stay tuned for the GIANT DSC00781PUMPKIN house in a few months!

If you are staying in town for the 4th of July, A Good Old Fashioned Celebration that is worth taking in is Takoma Park’s 118th Annual 4th of July Parade and Fireworks.  There will also be an event in Wheaton called Wheaton Sparkles with a Fireworks Display at Einstien High School.
